Located in Chatham Square, at the intersection of East Broadway, and Oliver Street in Chinatown, Manhattan, Kimlau Square memorializes the service of Lt. Benjamin Kimlau and serves as a tribute to Chinese heritage. The square features the Kimlau War Memorial, consisting of the Memorial Arch and two benches, alongside a separate bronze statue of Lin Zexu.

Quadrant Engineering was subcontracted to conduct the pre-construction survey of the Kimlau War Memorial, which involved providing an engineering assessment and documenting pre-existing conditions. Additionally, Quadrant was responsible for designing the arch demolition plan and the plywood construction fence. The demolition approach was carefully developed by many parties to ensure the preservation of the historical monuments and to minimize disruption to surrounding communities. To further support these efforts, Quadrant installed and conducted ongoing monitoring with vibration equipment to track the vibrations experienced by the monument.
