NYPD Highway Patrol No. 3
Location: Queens, NY
Client: LiRo Engineers
Owner: New York Police Department
Scope: Construction Cost Estimating
The NYPD Highway Patrol facility required the evaluation and design of a new leaching field system to support effective on-site wastewater management and ensure compliance with applicable environmental and regulatory standards. As part of ongoing infrastructure improvements, the project focused on assessing subsurface conditions, system capacity, and long-term performance to deliver a reliable and sustainable solution for wastewater dispersion.
Working in collaboration with LiRo Engineers, Quadrant Engineering provided construction cost estimating services based on the 60% design plans. Our team developed detailed cost projections that aligned with the evolving design, incorporating anticipated construction methodologies, site conditions, and material requirements. This early-stage estimating effort provided the project team with critical insight into budget expectations, allowing for informed decision-making, scope refinement, and proactive cost control as the design progressed. Through our involvement, the team was better positioned to align the project’s technical objectives with financial feasibility, reducing the risk of cost overruns during later phases of development.
