Scope: Architectural Design Support, Technical Coordination & Shop Drawing Development

Rising prominently within the Hudson Yards district, 66 Hudson Boulevard, known as The Spiral, is an iconic commercial tower that redefines the modern workplace through its innovative design and striking architectural presence. Characterized by its cascading, landscaped terraces that wrap around the façade, the building seamlessly integrates nature with high-performance office space, setting a new benchmark for sustainability, tenant experience, and urban design in New York City. As one of the most recognizable additions to Manhattan’s west side skyline, the project reflects a commitment to both aesthetic excellence and technical precision.

Quadrant Engineering supported the project through a range of specialized design and coordination efforts that contributed to the building’s refined architectural execution. Our team played a key role in the development and integration of high-end exterior elements, including custom paver systems sourced from Italy, as well as the detailing of the main entrance encompassing glass systems and mullion framing that define the building’s visual identity at street level. In addition, Quadrant assisted in the preparation and review of shop drawing designs for critical building components, including waterproofing membrane systems, ensuring proper integration, constructability, and long-term performance.

Through our involvement, we helped bridge design intent with field implementation, supporting a seamless translation of complex architectural features into constructed reality. The result is a contribution to a landmark project that exemplifies innovation, craftsmanship, and the evolving standard of excellence in New York City’s built environment.
